The Summit Hill Educational Foundation, otherwise known as "SHEF," is a not-for-profit organization established in 2006 for the Summit Hill School District 161, serving grades Pre-K through 8th grade in the communities of Tinley Park, Frankfort, and Mokena, IL. We are comprised of district parents, teacher liaisons, and administrative representatives from the district and school board. Our mission is to creatively generate financial support to enrich and enhance the opportunities and educational experiences of Summit Hill School District 161 students.
Throughout the year, SHEF raises money through various events in order to fund teacher grants that are beyond the school district's budget that greatly aid and enhance the learning process in their classrooms. SHEF also assists with funding district grants that help with the improvement of technology throughout our district schools. Since our inception in 2006, SHEF has awarded $562,409 to our district schools.
Beyond our fundraising activities, SHEF depends on the generous support of individuals and businesses like you! Please consider making a tax deductible donation to SHEF. SHEF and your contribution serves all District 161 students in grades K-8.
