News in “3D”
For 9/25 - 9/29
We have another full week ahead. The students have been doing a wonderful job of working hard, following expectations, and learning so much! Progress reports have been posted on Power School. Please remember that grades can go up or down before Report Cards. As always, let me know if you have any questions. Please ask your child about some of the activities we have been doing in class. Don’t forget that passwords have been sent home for sites that the students can access from home.
Forms for fundraisers have been sent home. Please do what you can to help support our school. Please remember, the Little Caesars Pizza Kit orders are due by Oct. 6.
Have a great week!
Reading – Our essential question to think about this week is, “ Why is everyone’s role on a project important?” We will read the story Pop’s Bridge along with some informational texts on bridges. We will work on comparing and contrasting, story structure, and word families.
English – This week we will learn about run-on sentences and prepare for the unit test next week.
Spelling – Lesson 4 has words with the long o vowel sound. The test on this list will be next week, Oct. 4.
Math – We begin chapter 2 on Data and Graphing. This week we will focus on collecting data and picture graphs.
Science – We will continue to learn about objects and motion. This week we will look and actions and reactions, and respond to some short video clips on types of motion and science careers. We will also work in groups to give a speech on how recess games involve force and motion.
Social Studies – This week we will continue our unit on Colonial America. We will be learning about Plymouth and life on the Mayflower.
