Academics
Academics are out top priority. District 161's curriculum is designed to provide variety and breadth through the study of content and process in the fundamental learning areas of reading, language arts, math, science, social studies, and the arts. District 161's curriculum is aligned with the Illinois Learning Standards and is assessed using Illinois Standard Assesment Tests (ISAT) as well as local assessments.
