Summer Food Service

The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) was instituted to provide nutritious meals to children during the summer months when school is not in session. The program is funded by the United States Department of Agriculture​ (USDA) and administered by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

 

Sun Meals To-Go is a U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) program that helps rural communities reach more children with nutritious meals during summer. The program allows approved school and community program sponsors to provide children 18 and younger with up to two meals per day for up to 10 days per distribution. Meals can be distributed through pick-up or delivery to homes.

The letter must contain the complainant’s name, address, telephone number, and a written description of the alleged discriminatory action in sufficient detail to inform the Assistant Secretary for Civil Rights (ASCR) about the nature and date of an alleged civil rights violation.
