Ms. Jennifer McFarland - Gifted  (Send e-mail) I would like to thank all the parents who attended our informational meeting this week. It was great to meet you and I appreciate the support you are providing both your student and me. If you should ever have any questions please send me an email I would be glad to help you. The fourth grade class has been working on a great novel, Number the Stars. They are learning about WWII and bravery. We are using our critical thinking skills to make connections to the story. We also be enhancing the math curriculum to include economic literacy. They will be solving real life problems to apply the skills they are learning. In third grade the students have enjoyed reading Chocolate Fever. They became newspaper reporters and created the Cocoa Times! We will also be enhancing the math curriculum to include economic activities.
