Ms. Katie Herman - FDK  (Send e-mail) November 17-21st Update From Ms. Herman's Classroom! I would like to say THANK YOU to all the Grandparents and Parents who came to school today for Grandparents Day. We were so excited to spend the day with you and show you around! I hope you had as much fun as we did! In Reading we started a new theme titled Family Ties. Living, working, and playing are ties that bind families and friends together. Children will discover what it means to care for one another and how to help each other learn and grow. In Phonemic Awareness we learned letters "Gg" and "Ff". We practiced phoneme isolation with both of these letters. We also practiced being able to identify words with same beginning sounds. In Math we continue to learn about numbers 0-5. We are learning how to hand write each number. Please practice these at home. The numbers 5 and 2 seem to be the most difficult to write.
