I would like to welcome you to my Physical Education webpage. I hope the information on my site will enlighten you to what the program here at Indian Trail is all about.
My mission is to:
-promote and support healthy lifestyles;

-enhance student knowledge and skills;
-learn about and use updated and new research and technology;
-focus on motor development and force production;
-worry about quality, rather than quantity;

RULES #1 When whistle is blown-Stop, Look, and Listen
#2 Proper shoes required-Indoor athletic footwear should consist of a non-marking sole that encloses the entire foot and is fastened with laces or Velcro. See page 6 in the District handbook.

GRADING 1st/2nd grades-10% Assessments, 90% Participation 3rd/4th grades-15% Assessments, 85% Participation
Assessments=homework, projects, quizzes, and tests Participation=proper gym shoes and behavior

CURRENT UNIT BASKETBALL This week will cover shooting. We will use shooting stations; here is what they will be: line progression, golf, hot seat, basketball frenzy, race to the end, around the world, free throws, make it-take it, pig, and lightning. We will also still be reviewing the earlier skills that were taught.
