LESSONS! LESSONS! LESSONS! LESSONS!

1ST GRADE: Students are finishing their Mondrian-inspired artwork and will begin a painting that looks like stained glass. Students will look at the geometric and organic shapes of different types of stained glass to get inspired.

2ND GRADE:
Students will be finishing their symmetrical creatures and creating paper masks using different folding techniques.

3RD GRADE: Students have finished their Aboriginal paintings and will begin a lesson on illustration using a warm or a cool color scheme.

4TH GRADE: Students are learning about masks from all around the world and how different cultures wear masks for different reasons. They will learn the difference between a two-dimensional object and three-dimensional object and will create two preparatory sketches to be used as a guide for their mask. They will be creating their mask using plaster strips and a plastic mold. After their masks finish drying, they will begin painting and designing it according to one of their sketches. They will complete a self-evaluation upon completion.
