I thank you all for taking the time to meet with me during conferences. I know that your child's success is just as important to you as it is to me. I am thankful that we have the chance to work together for the best interest of your child. Thank you for your continued support and dedication towards making this year so wonderful!

Ask your child daily...What is something new you learned in school today? Encourage them to give you an answer in a complete sentence. For example: "I learned that some shapes have a line of symmetry."

Please continue to go over your child's papers with them as they come home. Kindly remember to sign your child's weekly homework chart daily as well. We are working together to have everyone's papers signed daily for extra activity time. Keep up the great work! Together we can make a difference in your child's life.

As the weather continues to grow colder, please see that your child dresses appropriately for outdoor activities. The students will continue to go outside for recess unless it is decided by the administration that it is too cold.

Our schedule changes every other week. Therefore, we will have an Art week schedule and a Technology week schedule. Thanks for your understanding in this matter.

PE:
Please make sure your child either wears gym shoes or brings them to school on days we have PE.

Lunch:
Kindly make sure that your child has a lunch daily. Lunch is from 11:30 - 11:50 with recess following immediately after.

Dismissal Procedures:
If your child is being picked up early or leaving school by another method than what s/he normally does, please let me know in writing daily. I will forward the information to the office as well.

Please keep in mind that the most effective way to communicate with me is through your child's folder with notes. Please inform your child that you have put the note in their folder and make sure they know to put it in our special basket when they arrive to school.

Birthday/Holiday Treats:
Please make sure that you are aware of our policy regarding treats. Please remember that any treat you send to school with your child needs to be cleared with Mr. Pierson before it will be passed out. If it does not meet the healthy, nut-free guidelines, it will be sent back home with the child. We are a peanut-free, healthy snacks only school. Many thanks!
