Our school year is off to a wonderful start! First grade music students have been spending a lot of time learning how to play a steady beat. We have been using various songs, games, instruments, and movements to help learn how to make a beat!
Second grade has been reviewing steady beat from last year and the students are currently working on learning the line and space songs!
Third grade students have begun to learn note names. Students have been practicing making and spelling words using note names! Students have also been learning a lot about the composer of the month, George Gershwin!
Fourth grade students are working on remembering rhythms from last year. Students have been writing, creating, playing, and clapping various rhythmic patterns. They are also learning and reviewing line and space note names!
