Reading News: During next week and the following week (3 days) we will be engaged in a novel study. The title of the book is Number the Stars.
Ten-year old Annemarie Johansen and her best friend, Ellen Rosen experience life in Denmark during WW II with the Nazi occupation. The Nazi’s are “relocating” many of the Jews who live there. Ellen (a Jew) moves in with the Johansens and pretends to be part of the family.
English News: We will review the spelling of present tense verbs.
SpellingNews: Review list for next week (25 words). Three times each is due Thurs. Final test is on Fri. There will be no pre-test and no WB pages.

Science News: We are reading about changes that occur on Earth’s surface and reading about Earth’s layers.
Social Studies News: Study Guides are coming home today to be completed, signed, and returned on Mon. Test on Chp.3 will be on Tues. Students will do an independent (in school) study project forChp. 4, The Northeast.
