Summit Hill Junior High SCOSummit Hill Junior High SCO shjhsco@summithill.org
If anyone would like to volunteer, email us at shjhsco@summithill.org.
Without student and family support, many of the events and assistance the SCO provides, would not be possible. We also support teacher projects that enhance the learning of the students as well as finance some of the assemblies the students enjoy each year. This year with a new school, there are many needed items to make the school an inviting and friendly place. We plan on purchasing many spirit related items for the schools including park benches, entrance mats, murals, positive attitude signs, and much more! Other ideas are welcome for the distribution of funds.
The SCO meetings are for everyone. We welcome all parents who want to be involved with their child's school. The meetings begin at 2:30pm at Summit Hill Jr High School and children are welcome with their parents. Meeting agendas vary and consist of upcoming events, plans for future fund raising, and assistance to the teachers.
MAKING PAYMENTS TO THE SCO: When making any kind of payment to the SCO, please, please, please, make it in the form of a check. This way if you do not receive your item, or your child does not receive a service, you have proof and we can refund your money to you. For all SCO events and fund raisers, all checks are to be made payable to SHJH SCO. Hot lunch is the only exception; those checks are to be made to the school district (SHSD 161).
If you would like to contact us, you can leave a message at school, send a note to school addressed to SHJH SCO or email us at
shjhsco@summithill.org.
Thank you,
Summit Hill Jr High SCO Board

SHJH Band Boosters WELCOME SUMMIT HILL 161 BAND FAMILIES
TO THE 2007-2008 BAND YEAR
As you are aware our Jr. High band students have been practicing for weeks getting ready to make there debut marching in the Frankfort Fall Festival Parade. I hope many of you will support them down the parade route on Sunday Sept. 2nd. Our dedicated band students attended band camp in the beginning of August and have been going strong since. Our band students were the first children to enjoy our new Jr. High! Camp went very well, and the children along with Mrs. Coughlin and many volunteers had a great time!!
Our JR. HIGH MARCHING BAND will also be performing at the LWE football game on Fri. Sept. 7th. We hope to see many of you there.
I'm sure our Walker School band students are eager to start making their beautiful music. We can all enjoy their concerts at the end of Oct. and beginning of Nov.
Our first BAND BOOSTER MEETING will be on Thurs. Sept. 20th. in the band room at SHJH. I hope to see as many parents there as possible. This is a great oppertunity to hear what's happening with the band including the upcoming events. Also, you can give us some advice or just let us know how we're doing, or ask any questions you may have.
Thanks for all your support to our wonderful band program.
