All students must have an updated physical in order to try-out and/or join a sport. This also includes intramurals: bowling, golf, fitness club, basketball and volleyball. A student will be denied participation or a try-out without a valid physical on file. Should you have any questions regarding our athletic program, please contact our athletic director, Mr. Fred Pufahl, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
An informational parent/athlete packet will be posted on Coach Strzykalski's teacher page prior to clinics and try-outs. Once teams have been decided both parents and athletes must attend a mandatory meeting to find out about the schedules and expectations for both the spirit and competition squads. The cheerleaders will also host a cheerleading clinic for the participating K-4 Summit Hill School District students in the fall and have two fundraisers during the season.
Any student trying out must wear a plain white t-shirt (no design or team emblems), black shorts and proper athletic shoes, have no jewelry on and have hair pulled back and out of the face for both clinic days and the day of try-outs. Stunt groups and dates for tryouts will be determined during the clinics.
A sports physical must by on file to participate in clinics and to try-out. Clinics and try-outs for both squads will be held from 5pm- 6:30pm for clinics and 3pm-8pm for try-outs in May, after students have finished their try out they may leave. It is strongly encouraged and beneficial for all girls to come to clinic days. Results (try-out numbers) will be posted on the Coaches teacher pages.
