Parent Organizations
WELCOME! ITSCO stands for Indian Trail School Community Organization and our goal is to instill a sense of community between the faculty, students, residents, and local businesses. ITSCO holds meetings on the second Wednesday of the months of September, November, January, March and May at 3:30 p.m. in the Library at Indian Trail School. Meetings are for everyone! We welcome all parents who want to be involved with their child's school to come and share their ideas. Children are welcome to attend.
Our Fall Fundraiser begins in late August. We will be using Sally Foster, a giftware and gift-wrapping paper company to raise funds. Look for packets in your child's backpack! We also have Market Day the second Tuesday of each month. With these two successful fundraising programs we are able to provide classroom parties for Halloween, Winter, and Valentine's Day and have an indoor Winter Carnival in March, Field Day in May, and a 4th Grade Party for our students leaving Indian Trail! We are also able to provide two to three enrichment assemblies for the students, give the teachers a well-deserved "Teacher Appreciation Week", purchase supplies, and buy equipment for gym class and recess.
ITSCO coordinates Hot Lunch and Treat Days once a month that you may purchase for your child. We will also have a Spring and Fall Book Fair and Birthday Book Club. In December we have Santa's Secret Workshop. This very popular workshop lets students shop for gifts for their families and friends. Look for ITSCO notices about events throughout the school year.
As you can see, ITSCO has many events planned. To make these events successful, we need volunteers--PLEASE stop by the ITSCO table at Open House for information and to sign up! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact any of the Board Members. We can be reached through the Indian Trail office and are always looking for new ideas.
