Staff RecognitionAt its Sept. 10 meeting, the Board of Education recognized the following staff members:
Summit Hill Jr. High 8th-grade Science Teacher Sandra Schlesselman recently co-authored a journal article that has been accepted for publication in Biochemistry. The article is entitled, “Correlating Ultrafast Function with Structure in Single Crystals of the Photosynthetic Reaction Center”.
Barb Rains, Director of Human Resources and PR, recently earned national certification as a Professional in Human Resources. The certification, awarded by the HR Certification Institute, signifies that Ms. Rains possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management necessary to pass a rigorous examination demonstrating a mastery of the body of knowledge in the field. To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience.
Thirteen staff members recently completed their Master’s Degree programs: From Arbury Hills - Kelly Beazley, Stacey Froeschle, Shannon McDonald, and Donna Wojcik; From Mary Drew School - Manel Salah; From DJR/FDK - Christine Turk;From Walker Intermediate-Aimee Cimaroli, Tammy Johnson, and Dawn Krueger;From Indian Trail-Melissa Farrell; From Summit Hill Jr. High - Kim Capretz, Ryan McGuckin, and Cheryl Michals.
