National parenting speaker to be featured on Dec. 5
Nationally-known parenting speaker Nancy Samalin will share her winning tips for raising great kids at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 5 at Summit Hill Jr. High. Nancy Samalin is the founder of Parent Guidance Workshops. She also is a popular parent educator and best selling author of “Loving Without Spoiling”. She has appeared on many national TV shows including “Good Morning America, Today, 20/20, and Dateline. Her presentation is being sponsored by the Summit Hill District 161 Parent Academy. April 7, 2009 Board election timeline
Oct. 28 – First day prospective candidates may circulate nominating petitions for signatures.
Jan. 20-26 – Candidates may file nominating papers with the Board secretary.
Feb. 2 – Last day to file objections to the nominating papers of candidates.
Feb. 4 – If necessary, a simultaneous filing lottery would be held.
Feb. 5 – Last day candidates may file notarized papers withdrawing nomination.
April 7 – Election Day
