District Mission Statement
The mission of Summit Hill District 161, in collaboration with the family and the community, is to provide our students with the highest quality educational opportunities in a safe, supportive, and stimulating learning environment which will empower them to become productive global citizens and successful lifelong learners.

School Board Goals: 2008-2010

1. To develop an aligned and engaging curriculum, instruction, and assessment that encompasses researched-based practices and guides District 161 programs.

2. To develop and to provide additional curricular and extracurricular opportunities that will allow all students to achieve their full potential.

3. To provide our staff with professional development opportunities that will enhance our educational environment.

4. To enhance and to improve communication with all stakeholders.

5. To manage all finances in a fiscally responsible manner.
